Adding a simple thermal switch for noisy bass amp fan

Thanks for all the input. I screwed a 75Celsius thermal switch directly and tightly onto the flat area of the aluminum heat sink. It worked just as suggested. The fan didn't turn for 2 hours, and when it did it was on for 10-15 minutes then turned back off -just perfect. I ordered a 60Celsius just in case I need it run a little cooler in the future. Most fans are noisy in bass amplifiers that use them, and lot's of players complain about the noise. I'm all set now, thanks to this forum. Best regards, Keith.

Glad it worked as desired.

ALL fans are "noisy" if they have any muscle, at least wind blowing noise, so ....

But they are *annoying* only in a relatively silent space; once a drummer hits a couple cymbals, ear sensitivity drops by 20 to 40 dB .... sometimes permanently

Juan, I use this amp mostly in my studio, so the fan was getting to me. When playing live I never hear the fan. Great suggestion on the part and install. Thanks also to Tom and Enzo.
