  • Peavey 400BH vs. 400GH?

What is the difference between a Peavey 400BH and 400GH rear power modules? Are they interchangeable? Thanks.

I can't say with absolute certainty, but I believe all of the 400 series amps do use the same amp module. If Enzo was still with us, I bet he'd know right off the top of his head.

Good question.... Here is one difference... Look at the Power Supply.

On the BH Model, you have two zeners that product plus and minus 15 volts. You then have the 7815 and 7915 regulators that product plus and minus 16 volts. I will let you trace them out to see where the different supplies go.

On the BG Model, you do not have the zeners producing teh plus and minus 15 volts. You only get the regulators producing plus and minus 15 volts.

The 400GH looks like the 400BH.

I'm sure there are probably a few other differences. But the basic amp section looks the same.
