  • Sanken 2sc3264?

Any chance any of you know where I can get Sanken 2sc3264 output transitors?

i know Sanken discontinued them a while ago. I wonder why. SWR used a lot of them...and that is what I am repairing.

E bay has a butt load. Though I can't speak to counterfiets it seems unlikely in this case.

Here's one auction. There are several:

I looked up UTsource. They have a few used ones. They have a generic one with tons in stock. I might take a chance but it’s looking pretty grim. All the chip manufacturers are behind in production. Are there alternatives to sub in place of the sankens?

Audiolabs of Georgia always seems to have these odd older transistors. 7 usa in stock I have never have a counterfeit from them.

I agree. I use Audio Labs of GA a bunch for hard to find parts. The only thing that makes me a bit leery of these is that it says right on the listing, "China Stock" .

EDIT: Though I don't generally like to use NTE parts, since these are discontinued the NTE 92 is a direct cross and they are available here:

          https://www.ntepartsdirect.com/ENG/PRODUCT/NTE92

I'm not sure I'd risk getting any SS parts from China.

I saw that too. And there's no visible logo in the image. This makes me think they may be an east asian "equivalent". I just don't understand what this means:

This doesn't seem like a unit attractive enough to counterfeit. The ones I linked "look" right. But we've seen that go wrong too. Still, the package doesn't seem to match any current transistor packages and I would think that would make counterfeiting prohibitively dificult.

I never even consider such "brick and mortar" ideologies anymore, but you're right. Maybe the guy you talk to knows the score, but... There's a good chance whomever you get on the phone will have to step out of their usual box, making for questionable results. But you don't get anything if you don't ask. I really hate the way things are now. Even young doctors rely on their phone searches for filling in missing pieces. The day of experts at the counter (or over the phone) is almost gone. You are relegated to whatever someones iphone search revealed to them and how they interpreted it. And this actually may be better in the big picture for "overall" results but for guys like us it's a penny shy of what we use to arrange for ourselves with trusted sources.

                Sorry. Ranting. All done.

Just looked at Audio Labs of GA site again to see if there is more info. They only have the 2SA1295 complimentary PNP. They do not have any 2SC3264 NPN's in stock anyway. So, the point is moot.
