One possibility is that you are in Brazil. Mesa does not make their tubes, they buy them from factories like Sovtek, JJ, and China. They then put their labels on them and sell them. Power tubes are often matched, which adds a little to the cost. Then they would be sent to Brazil for you. A Brazilian tube seller could import the SOvtek, JJ, WInged C, and even Chinese tubes directly, so the initial cost would be lower.
