Any love for the Mazda 6/30L2?

I'm just tracing the circuit. The PSU delivers about 20mA. The key to performance with these switching HT supplies it have a good 12v supply, in the region of 3.5A or 4A. I find a small laptop supply works well. You're effectively rapidly shorting an inductor across the supply and the collapsing field generates the HT. So you need something with good peak loading characteristics.
