  • Please help me identify these tubes

    Hi folks,
I have two tubes on which I cant make out any markings. Maybe someone can Tell from the pictures? They are from an old Radio I think...
The small one has 7 pins
The larger one has 9 pins

Pins look very pointy on the ends, probably Russian. Who cleaned off the markings?

I see markings, on the top of one of the tubes at least. Might be a start at tracking them down. measure the tubes (height, width) and compare to tube data sheets. There are a few places with 'tube' and 'museum' in the name, may have pictures or descriptions of your tubes. The innards are also a good tell. Clear pictures of the whole tube, various angles on the innards, will help the fine people hereabouts help you.

Cool the tube (put in fridge for a bit) breathe on it and hold up to light at different angles.

The moisture from your breath may show up on some markings.
If it ain't broke I'll fix it until it is...
I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous...

Not sure why you show multiple images of the top an nothing else.

Could this be an EL95? I made some better pictures.

The larger one is an EL-84 i think.

What about the inscription printed on glass?

Is this some kind of guessing game?

              What´s the prize?

The prize is: a very short piece of plank. OR behind door #2, a rare expensive mysterious vacuum tube, with nothing printed on it. Or you could choose what's behind door #3, a rubber biscuit.
This isn't the future I signed up for.

Thanks for the advice, I am quite sure I have identified them now. Also, I had the idea to think about the tube devices I have owned and to find their schematics. That way I was able to narrow it down.

Thanks for your help (and thanks for helping me help myself), the rubber biscuits may now be collected at the back of the aisles
