  • Boss Slow Gear SG1 switch issue

The switch on this pedal is not staying engaged. The effect works when holding the switch down. I think this is like other boss pedals, the switch is momentary, right?
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?
    thanks

Are you by chance just going by the light? If so, see note at bottom of schematic attached. Otherwise, electronic latching is done by the circuit in the Q7/Q8 area also shown at bottom of schem. page.

As far as I know they refer to this as a flip flop circuit. So you can visualize what is happening.

When the going gets weird... The weird turn pro!

See the notes at the bottom of the schematic page about updates to the flip-flop circuit.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.

Thanks for the help. I did the revisions on the schematic and the LED is now staying on. I didn’t have 220pf caps so I put in the closest that I have, 250PF.
