Yo, I got this TS9DX kit from Ebay and installed it yesterday. In short, wanted more highs. I pretty much use the HOT mode for our wide variety band format when needed. As a retired electronics pro, I gotta say this was about 4-5 hours of work and while not the hardest, it was not for newbies and my solder sucker was very helpful vs the piece of solder wick they send with the kit. I love the addition of highs and using better components and the green LED is way more visible. One thing... the 1N4001 mod is adding asymmetrical clipping to the HOT mode which is not my sound. In short it is adding more distortion... if you want crunch do it, if you want smooth, don't. Cheers!
