  • Vox Tonelab SE tactile switch sourcing

Hey all. I have a Vox Tonelab SE pedal board thingy for repair. A lot of the switches are no longer working.

I found the reference for the main footswitch parts (ALPS SKHC series) but can't find a source for the SPST 6mm switches.

Has anyone on here have a reference for them? It almost seems as though these are custom VOX OEM switches.

They are SW8 on board KLM 2485 and SW6 on board KLM 2454A.

Digikey (and many others) have loads of tactile switches. You just have to get out the calipers and plug measurements into the search.

Did you try spraying them first?

You could certainly try. They are sealed, so difficult to clean. IMO, tactile switches are cheap. If I'm going through all the trouble to take the thing apart, I'd just replace them.

Yes, I have measured, entered the specs with a bit of wiggle room as not to be too stringent and widen the results but nothing.

I wonder if they are special VOX OEM parts.

          SPST seem to be rarer.

They are sealed. I did try though.

If you can post a drawing or picture with measurements here, I may have something. I have a relatively good assortment of tactile switches.

                According to the datasheets:

The datasheet for the shorter switch (6x6x4.3mm) is here: https://www.suntan.com.hk/pdf/switch/TSS-TC-0102.pdf
Digikey has a switch with the identical measurements here: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...-2-LFS/1146755

The datasheet for the taller switch (6x6x9.5mm) is here: https://www.suntan.com.hk/pdf/switch/TSS-TC-0402.pdf
Digikey has a switch with the identical measurements here: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/...105BF160Q/1358

                  Really appreciate that!

the digikey links are for 4 pins switches though

                  Thank you!

Looks like these might do the trick. Not sure about the quality though...

If you prefer to buy from Mouser. Go to Digikey (using my links), copy the manufacturer's part numbers, and paste them into Mouser's search bar. They have the same parts in stock.

                        There's not a 9.5mm in that box.

9mm or 10mm (shaved off) will have to do.

You'll have to check to see if it will work. I've almost always been able to put the switch in at an angle and just cut off two pins.

                              Here are 2 pin versions:

I thought yours were 4 pin. I see now I was just looking at shadows in your pic.
