I have an old mxr flanger that’s not working. It was handed to me to try to fix after it’s owner tried to fix it by replacing the foot switch (I don’t have the original).
I measured about 7vdc at the regulator and found a bad diode. Replacing both diodes resulted in about 14.8 volts at the regulator, however, the flanger doesn’t seem to be doing anything. It seems to play straight through regardless of the switch position (there may be a slight volume increase but I’m not sure that isn’t my imagination). The replacement switch is a SPDT but I’m not sure what the original one was. The switch is currently wired with the common to the output (brown), one side to the input (one of 2 yellows) and the third is connected to a blue wire that goes to the circuit board.
Could someone tell me if the switch seems to be correct or do I need something else?
Ant help/suggestions appreciated!
Thanks-
