Mods for VoodooLabs Chorus to ACTUALLY sound like ce-1?

The ol' midrange hump. Not open and watery. Come to think of it, their MicroVibe is the same way.... It BEHAVES like it should, but tone isn't transparent enough. Any Ideas?

Voodoo labs , Voodoo Lab , VoodooLabs Chorus.....
I guess I'd just like the effected tone to be more like the bypassed signal.
