  • Artec pedals, anyone tried these?

    http://www.artecsound.com/effect/index.html

I just bought a dual drive blender and waiting to get it so I heard some of the sound clips on Youtube and they sounded good.

I haven't tried these pedals but I did view their website and was a little puzzled by the claim made on their ADL-2 Analog Delay pedal that it is an analog delay "...Echo Effect that players who are tired of the Dry-Taste of Digital Effect have been looking for."

They state that they use an ASIC and not a BBD to create the analog delay. According to RG's thread here http://music-electronics-forum.com/s...ad.php?t=10464 an ASIC is a series of gates that are masked off to make a custom chip. From my experience a gate requires a 1 or 0 to operate so that makes their analog delay claim bogus. They have to digitize the signal somewhere?

      CJ,

The analog delay does sound really clean for an analog delay. I guess I would want RG or some one to maybe chime in on this.

The prices are really good though as I paid $39.99 with free shipping for the dual drive and the sound clips I heard at Youtube sounded good, I may want to get the soloist pedal next. I will decide when I get the dual drive and try it out first though.

Heck, at $40.00 a pop that isn't gonna break the bank ya know...

I guess this is Korean made? not sure as the guy demonstrating at Youtube sounds European.
