  • Dunlop Univibe INOP

    Hi everyone...

I've got a Dunlop Univibe that has developed a nasty, white/pink noise problem lately. It is really evident on overdrive/distortion sounds but still there on the clean sounds too. Also, the volume of the unit is less, kind of "thin" sounding. Anyone familiar with this unit??

I've repaired two with the same problem. Both of them I took apart, not easy to do, looked around and really didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Reflowed the solder on the input and output jacks and input power jack. Put it back together and they worked great. Not sure what caused it and I wasn't really concerned with why it happened, just satisfied that it worked.

Hopefully, you'll have the same results.
