Tremolo pedals.. or is it 'vibrato'?

Has anyone diy'd one, even simply so, to good effect? Ive seen the Luna whatsitcalled diy one but its very comlicated- I wonder if the fender twin's 'vibrato' circuit could been copied into a pedal- my thoughts are it'd have be fairly simple/ small to fit in with rest of a twin's guts, so perhaps relatively easily cloned? cheers Captain
