Boss odb-3 bass overdrive - blown eq pot?

I just bought a used Boss ODB-3 bass overdrive pedal and whenever you turn up the EQ on the High or Low bass boost, it makes an interference/static noise. It doesnt happen at halfway, but it gets worse the more bass boost you put into it.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

It may just be a bit of dirt causing the pot wiper not to make contact.
Try using contact cleaner to spray into the pot, then rotate teh pot over its whole rotation several times.
Other than that, pots are cheap to replace
