Keely seeing eye ultra mod

I did the mod in my ds-1 and it works and sounds great, only problem is the 9 volt battery does not work with the pedal anymore just the 9v adapter what did i do wrong? Thanks

First plug in a battery and follow the battery clip wires to the other end and see if you are getting voltage where the clip wires connect.
