Echoplex - no sustain on the echoes

Hey there,
I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I have an echoplex EP3 that works fine except it only echoes once, instead of a number of times. I guess that means the feedback is not really working, correct? How does one fix this?

I had this same problem with an EP3. If I remember it was a bad tape and a bad capacitor on the first circuit board. Sorry, I don't have the schematic in front of me but if you are looking at the circuit boards in the EP3, its the board to the farthest left. One of the White electrolytic caps. I forget the value, but I would replace them all.
