Hi all,
my beloved '94 JH-4S Rotovibe is causing me headache since a few days. Somehow it started to make a strange sound when activated, sounds like a bird twittering or ticking noise when the LFO sweeps. At first glance i was thinking about a possible gounding issue so I checked the PCB for any cracked solder joints but did not find any smoking gun. Then I replaced the 15µF Tantal nearby the 78L09 Voltage Regulator with a 22µF/25V Elko and also the 16µF on the PCB but no success. Any idea what could cause that strange sound? Just to give more background: my Rotovibe is the old PCB Version, Rev. B, with the 78L09 on the Input, mostly Tantal Elkos and the Opto Coupler mounted upright on the PCB. Any help is appreciated....
Regards
Stefan
