  • Low Spark of Fuzz Organ?

I've always liked the "fuzz organ" sound Steve Winwood used for solos on the song "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys," and I was wondering if anyone had any idea what fuzz pedal he might have used to generate it.

The album was released in 1971, so would that have made the Arbiter Fuzz Face the most likely?

    Thanks!

P.S. I've got Hammonds and Leslies, and I think it has to be more than a distorted Leslie.

There were a few choices of fuzz boxes back in 1971. Notably the Maestro Fuzz Tone and Vox Tone Bender. Check this web site for a little more detail Fuzz

      Thanks for the site reference.

It occurred to me after my first post that Winwood played organ on the long version of Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile," so it's possible that there was some influence from that interaction.
