Fulltone Distortion Pro..........Yay or nay?

Somebody in my area is selling a used Fulltone Distortion Pro pedal, I know that this pedal's had a lot of negative press but is it really deserved?

Is the main problem, that the pedal has so many controls that it makes it less than idiot-proof?

It's a Rat pedal with a ton of trim pots, IIRC.
It's not a bad pedal, it's just not a great pedal for the price.
