  • Morley EDL (Tel-ray Oilcan) ... wet/Dry Output ??

    Hi,
I recived the Oil yesterday .... but apparently I have a strange problem:

I get Correct Delay output (wet signal) at the Delay Output, but at the Main Output I only get Dry signal (No delay).

apparently the delay signal is Not mixed with the dry signal at the main
    output !!

.... thats strange because the delay output is working properly ! ... and every control pot work good!

    Any suggestion ??

    Thanks.
    Mf

Based on the schematic, there is a switching circuit on the delay output jack that mixes the dry and wet signal together for the output jack.

Clean the closed circuit contact on the delay jack with some DeOxIt.

I've seen where the switch contact on the jack is an RCH from making contact. Get your meter out and measure continuity at the delay output jack terminals. Two of the terminals SHOULD be shorted together with no plug inserted.

        Thanks for your reply.

The switch/Plug (delay out) works properly.

... at that point the circuit is more complicate than the layout shows.

doing a better test I realize that the Delay Out is low in level probably.

... but I still get no Wet signal at main Out.
