I have an Echoplex EP-3 that is exhibiting a weird switching problem. If the footswitch is plugged into the ECHO/OFF jack it doesn't switch the echo off. Yet, if the footswitch is plugged into the PLAYBACK jack it will turn the recording lamp on and off but there is no echo. Any suggestions?

It looks like this Echoplex was for some reason modded to work this way. The Playback jack was replaced with a Switchcraft 14B instead of the correct 12A and a few extra wires were added from this jack to the SUSTAIN pot/Power switch. Also the wiring to the ECHO/OFF jack was changed.
Anyway, I don't have any 12A jacks, so while I'm waiting on one, does anyone have any good photos of the inside of an EP-3 that I can use for visual comparison when I rewire this thing?
