Hello All,
I'm new here and thought I would jump right in. I am looking to get a new set of effects, meaning a new rack or pedal board. I had a Digitech GNX4 and while a very good effects system, its had always just sounded a little flat and brittle. So at the moment I am in sound limbo, and am finding it hard to make a decision.
I play through a Marshall solid state combo, a Epiphone Les Paul Custom and Jackson Soloist Custom. The guitarist's sound I try and emulate are Randy Rhoads, Tony Iommi, George Lynch, Tony MacAlpine, Vinnie Moore, Allen Collins, Gary Rossington and some 80's bands. The effects pedal boards I have looked at but have not been able to play through are the Line 6 Pod x3 Live/Pro, Digitech Rp500/1000, Rocktron G300 to name a few. I have a budget of $600 to spend and would appreciate some recommendations.
I have used Line 6 equipemnt before (a Vetta head) and it was pretty reliable and easy to use. I played through a Line 6 Pod x3 and the jury is still out on this unit. I has a different interface than what the Vetta had.
