This is a problem I've never seen before.
This is a reissue Deluxe Memory Man with (2) MN3005. The problem is a very loud whine on the output of the first BBD, not the normal noise you get and null with the Balance trim, but a really loud annoying sound. To add to that, the signal on the output of the BBD sounds very distorted, almost ring-modulated. Replaced the 4558 and 4047 in the oscillator circuit and tried swapping out the BBD. No change.
Anyone else encounter this before or have any suggestions? Schematic is attached. It shows 4 MN3008, but it's the same circuitry as the one I'm working on.
