  • To Mod a Boss DD-3 or Not?

Readers of this forum probably already know that the Boss DD-3 Delay pedal actually came in three varieties. (Details Here)

As it turns out my DD-3 is version 1.

Does anyone here have experience modding this particular pedal? I would hate to start modifying a pedal if the result is no more "analog-sounding" than leaving the pedal as stock!.

I know that monte allums has a nice kit, but I wonder if the instructions take into account the different versions.

    Any advice appreciated.

There is a condition we noticed on the diystompboxes page. We call it BUMS - Blind Urge to Mod Syndrome.

If you don't have a good idea what you want to get from your mod, and some assurance that what you're doing will move it in that direction, there's a reasonably high possibility of what you get doing what you want. "Modded" is not synonymous with "better".
Amazing!! Who would ever have guessed that someone who villified the evil rich people would begin happily accepting their millions in speaking fees!

Oh, wait! That sounds familiar, somehow.
