  • tremolo pedals I need an oscillator with a single transistor that works

I have been trying to find an example of an easy to build tremolo
oscillator with a common device ,

I really would like to use a JFET but it seems like its always a BJT.

I guess I dont care that much about what the device is
just a simple easy to build , one transistor.. 9v powered...?
oscillator would be nice. I would like to avoid opamps

I have my own ideas about how to integrate into the audio path
, I dont know.... its so easy to build trem with tubes and
it seems so difficult with solid state..

but I am an impatient sort I guess, I have tried
more than 3 times to lift a circuit Idea and the thing
just will not run, the tube circuits work right away

just trying to breadboard something for a pedal
    any ideas

    Steve

It doesn't get much simpler than the Electronics Australia (EA) Tremolo from the 60's. Do a Google image search for EA Tremolo and you'll find plenty to work from.

about 13 years ago I made a very crude trem pedal from a chip made specifically to blink an LED.

I think you will be hard pressed building a one transistor tremelo.
Unless you do not want to vary the speed & intensity.
