  • Hello FX Community

It would seem fitting to put this thread in the "Effects" because of my current state of ga-ga for them.

I am a new member and wanted to say hello to everybody
I hope that we can become great friends in the future, and that we can feed of each others energy!
We are all Artists, and as Artists we must support each other!

I am very honest and straight forward. I would appreciate it if you did the same.
I will do my best to say "I don't know" (majority)
I am pushing myself to learn as much as I can about everything music.
I love pedals, but at the same time I want to learn it all- Guitars, Mods, Amps, Lighting, and so forth.

    Hello HoodGonk.

    I am new here too.
I am very much an artist myself.
I am a proud mom of 2 kids--and i think this gives me a unique perspective on forums like this.
I'm a stay at mom but will probably go back to work after my newborn is a few months older.

    Also--I LOVE Hiwatts.

Hey guys, I am new here as well; however, I have been playing for quite sometime. My favorite amps are Dumble and my influences include Robben Ford and Eric Johnson.

          Hey Harakiri,

Do you actually have a Dumble? If you do, I am
          So Jealous!
My ex-husband always used to talk about buying me one. But he was a liar (and a cheat). I LOVE Robben Ford--his tone is so REAL. Have you ever heard his version of politician? It's really good.

          Nice to meet you.

I actually have 3 that I use for a w/d/w setup. The economy tanked in 09 but I really did good for myself between the immediate crash and the first quarter of this year (with my investment in Deltic Timber alone I made over 35%) The politician solo is amazing but I'm not good enough to play that! LOL, if I were I don't think I'd be posting here. BTW, I know what you are saying about his tone being "REAL" I feel as if his equipment is amplifying his soul rather than just an instrument. The expressiveness in his mid-range is unparalleled. I guess that is why Howard's amps are so sought after. I'm not sure where you are located but if you are ever around and would like to play through my rig you're more than welcome.

              O. M. G.

Where do you live? I will find a sitter for the kids and fly out to see you. I'm serious. I'm good looking and available too. You sound like a guy that really knows what he wants and knows how to get it. Your taste in tone is impeccable.

              PM sent.

WOW, that's surprising I've been on Eharmony for months... After my last divorce it's been really hard to get back out there. They say 3rd times the charm but in my case it just meant more alimony! I didn't really think you would respond that way, lol. Do you have Skype? As far as "getting what I want" goes in the beginning I'm fine but apparently I have "trust issues". That is where the name came from, after the crash and subsequent divorce things were looking grim but unlike some of my partners I decided to use it as a chance to reinvent myself.

It pleases me to see all of this
                  discussion of fine electrical
                  guitar equipment and amazing
                  tones produced by the more

I never really liked the Sitar
                      Swami It prevented me from
                      really being able to achieve
                      that coveted Politician Tone.
                      In a perfect world I'd own a
gold Klon. Right now I've just
got the silver one. Oh well,
                      my tone is still delicious

I prefer the Henry Kaiser tone from a Dumble.

The way he integrates effects into that OD Special really brings out the subtle nuances of the diode clipping under the goop.

                          well of course. We all
                          know that electrons
                          can't survive in a solid
                          state crystal lattice.
                          That's why tube amps,
                          particularly those made
                          by Dumble, sound so
                          great

Woke up this morning and thought it'd be a great day to bake some cookies. Snickerdoodles.

Might even strum some chords today.
