Vintage ad9 problem - help

Hi,
I have an early 80's Ibanez AD9 that I had carefully stored away. It worked fine except perhaps for some loss of volume when engaged.
Just pulled it out of storage, plugged it in, hit the switch-- the LED went on --but no delay effect of any kind . I have signal but no delay.
I powered it with an adapter then a battery-not the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds to me like an electrolytic capacitor dried up.
Look for any in the signal path & replace them.
