  • Output impedance Boss TU-2?

    Hi,

Just a little question. I need a buffer between guitar and mixer this sunday and I wonder if I could just use my Boss TU-2 for this purpose.
In the manual there's no information about the output impedance of the tuner. So I searched for the schematic and here it is... (scroll down)

But now... what is the output impedance of the output buffer, and how do I calculate it? I would really like to know, thanx!

The line-in input impedance of the mixer is 10k. Will it be a good match?

The output impedance will be a little over 1k, set by R32 or R34.
So a 10k load should be tolerated, though it may result in large signals being clipped - best to keep the signal level down.
Does your mixer have unbalanced inputs? The 10k spec may be for the balanced input, unbalanced may be half that.
Which would limit the signal swing even more.

      Thanks Pete!
So the match will be ok than, great to here!
The 10k spec is the unbalanced input, balanced is 20k.
