Ridiculously cool new pedal day.

Did a trade with someone around town for this 18lb monstrosity of a pedal. It's a 76 Morley Rotating Wah Volume. It's an oil can based rotary speaker simulator, plus wah and volume of course. The chrome and the graphics are really awesome. I have a couple little things to fix on it, like replacing the spring for the variation control, and general cleanup. The oil is intact, and I'm seeing if I can locate more.

Have any of you seen one of these?





One thing I'm trying to figure out is how to bring up the volume on the wah. It's a bit quiet compared to the other modes.

That's a pretty powerful pedal, in terms of the number of things it can do.

Very cool pedal and in very nice condition too. Most of these that I see have been ruined or damaged by rust, lack of maintenance, bad repairs by well-meaning owners, etc.

If the oil can is working with no issues, then try and leave it alone. Be sure to clean and lubricate the drive motor bearings. And clean the belt and pulley wheels.

It uses the standard Morley twin-T wah circuit, so check the electrolytic caps, etc.

I have noticed that a lot of the examples I have seen for sale are very rough. This one is exceptionally clean, and I plan on keeping it that way. I had to put a spring in it, which was obviously non-original, but functions as well as original. I'll sort out the wah as close to original parts as I can. I have some old pulls and such and carbon comp resistors in case I need them.
