Well, that's enough of that. I admit defeat. No response from Mr. Butler, and a close but not actual schematic drawn by a third party of a tube circuit being driven by 8 volts. And with no personal reference of what it should actually sound like, and I'm done. Thanks all once again for your comments and help.
