I want to use my Fender '63 RI reverb unit as a send/return effect, connected to my mixing console. As the mix pot, even when turned all the way to wet, is not able to deliver 100% wet signal, I need to mod it.
As far as I've found out, this can be accomplished by swapping the mix pot with a 250k linear push/pull pot. This enables me to disconnect the direct signal altogether, leaving only the wet signal. Any opinions on this?
The reason I want this mod is 'cause I want to use it for my modular synths. However, I'm not sure if this modification is worth it. Or if it's better to just get a seperate send/return spring reverb unit for the synth.
