bought an old "Amdek" (analog) Delay pretty cheap since something is wrong with the intensity (fdbk.) control. Vaguely familiar with the name before as Boss/Roland-related kit makers but not much more. Found through a bit of web searching that apparently the PCBs would come pre-stuffed and the work the purchaser would need to do with the kits was minimal (solder pots, jacks, connections to PCB, LED, ftsw., also any trimmers on efx. such as flangers, chorus, delay, etc. were pre-adjusted by Amdek). Opened mine up and was pretty obvious which solder points the assembler worked on. I'm going to clean up the crappy soldering and hopefully the problem is simply due to a poor solder joint/connection. I see people are buying Amdek efx. on ebay, Gear Page, etc. and thought maybe people would want to know about possible risks before buying. Amdek seemed to be trying to reduce risk by having most of the joints to more mechanically hardier contacts (mostly metal lugs plus eyelets on the PCB) though.
