  • Problems with Crybaby

I need help! I have a dunlop Crybaby that is almost 30 years old. When I have it plugged in it will almost kill my guitars signal. The battery is new(this one does not have a spot for an adapter). This Only happens in bypass and usually after being hooked up for about 10 to 15 mins. I have tried the Vox and the new Crybaby's and they can'tcompare to the sound of this one. I would love to fix it but have no idea where to start. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

First try cleaning the switch. Get a spray can of a contact cleaner such as Cramolin and spray a little into the openings where the terminals enter the body of the switch. Push the switch a few times and see if the signal comes back. Worst case, is the switch is defective and will need to be replaced.
