  • mxr doubleshot distortion schem

    Hello all,

I'm looking for an MXR doubleshot distortion schematic. I will be doing some mods on it, and tracing all that SMD circuitry hurts my brain. I've searched the net and this forum for documentation, but have not found any yet. I will gladly post some of my tweaking findings when finished.

    Thanks,
    barry.

Manufacturer schematics are a way for them to offload the burden of service and repair to others. Those schematics trickle down to the rest of us as various authorized repair shops receive them (after paying a fee themselves), eventually scan them, and pass them on to others. Depending on the reliability and susceptibility to damage the product has, that can take a longer or shorter time. I guess those SMT boards hold up pretty good, eh?

      Mark,

Thanks for the reply. It would seem so. It is a well made product, Dunlop's construction method is such that the design is not easily modified (tight physical tolerances, high component densities, and component interference). It's what I would do if I had a design I liked that I wanted to make a bunch of.

Unfortunately I don't care for this pedal. I was hoping to find a schematic, see a tonal solution and apply it. Maybe it could help some like-eared folks.

Thanks in advance to whoever might have the info,
      barry.

One more thing, I know one of the sections of this doubleshot is the same as the dime distortion pedal. So if anyone has schematic info on that, it would help me as well.

        Thanks to all,
        barry.
