The Dunlop DB01 Dimebag Darrell Crybaby From Hell Wah Pedal has a "fine tune knob" that sets the lower and upper limits for the wha's sweep pot. Is this the bandwidth?
This "fine tune knob" must be a trim pot across the wha's sweep pot wiper terminal and one of the side terminals it seems
Fine Tune:
Rotating this knob clockwise extends the high end of the sweep range, making the toe down position brighter as opposed to a darker sound when rotated counterclockwise.
I wonder how they did this fine tune parameter
A wah is a bandpass filter with variable center frequency
The Q knob/parameter seems to me it sets the resonance peak
but how would u change the "upper" and "lower" cutoff frequency points?
The wah wah has a upper and lower cutoff frequency points but how do u change them? (this is true bandwidth)
The Dunlop DB01 Dimebag Darrell Crybaby also has a Booster circuit, i'm guessing its a pre-boost to give more gain to the first transistor so it clip's or overloads the inductor.
I found a problem with that, is it boosts some frequencys but cuts and makes other frequencys very thin, why is that boosters do this? T
he booster changes the sweep/range making some frequencys boosted and others very thin why? (it makes the sweep/range worse in some ways)
New DJ mixers have a variable slope/contour control connect to the crossfader to change the slope/sweep of the tapper
How can this variable slope/contour parameter be connected to a wahs sweep pot to change the slope and contour/curve of the tapper?
