Ebtech Hum Exterminator

Hey y'all,
I have a question about the ebtech hum exterminator. I just have problems with ground loop hum, and i thought this might work.

Theyre expensive, as it only takes one plug, but my question is: If I buy one to plug into the wall, and plug a power strip into it for all my effects and my amp, would it still do what its supposed to?

no that would not be the way to use it (which I'm assuming judging from the description and price is basically this:

you want it to break a loop, so for instance if two amps used at the same time plugged into the same AC outlet are causing a problem (through their shared safety grounds creating a ground loop), you would put the Ebtech on one of the amps.
