  • Boss OD-2. LED issues.

Embarrassed to admit this pedal is beating me atm
    Pedal ops ok.
Led only works on battery. Nothing on boss pwr adapter. If I provide an earth to the led at r53 it glows bright. If I Bypass D1 and r2 (ie pin 5 to ground) led bright. (Replaced both)
At a loss. I’m sure the issue is staring me in the face!
    Cheers Gav
    Cheers,
    Gavin

Do you have something plugged into the input jack? The ground is completed by the jack shorting ring to sleeve when a plug is inserted.

Some boss pedals the led won't work on adapter if it's not the specified boss adapter. Does it call for the PSA or ???

Glad to be of help. Fortunately, it was one we had just discussed recently, so I could still recall it.
