  • Is this a Vintage Sovtek Big Muff?

Hi, I have been told that this is a vintage Sovtek Big Muff. However, this looks to be pretty new to me and it is not like some of the Sovteks I have seen. Therefore, I am wondering if this is a new circuit installed into an old box. Can anyone confirm this? Is this an original Sovtek Big Muff circuit board?

    Thanks, David :-)

I don't know that anyone would apply the word "vintage" to a russian made Big Muff. When talking about Big Muffs, 'vintage' would usually refer to the original USA made ones from the 70's. That circuit board doesn't look quite like the early ones with the Soviet surplus parts. How old is this supposed to be? Here's some info:

Hi. Thanks for that. It is supposed to be the last of the Russian green ones (not the new reissue). It is the one that has the two screws on the top and looks like the attached photo. Thanks :-)

yes, when i think of a vintage big muff, i think of the transistorized USA model, not the IC-laden USA model, and certainly not the russian stuff!
