  • How does this LED operate?

I'm still tinkering with this Guyatone octave 2. The LED stays lit the entire time the cables are plugged in. I know that the ground is switched in the output jack, but does anyone know if the LED is supposed to operate when the effect is switched on and off. Or is it supposed to stay on like it does. From what I see on the schematic, it looks like it doesn't switch. I will wire it to the DPDT switch if that is the case so it is only on when the effect is on. But I don't want to change it if it should switch and I'm just missing something. Thanks in advance. Here's the schematic:

I don't think you're missing anything, the led is wired directly to the +9 bus. Whenever there is power on the circuit. it will light up. Moving it to the switch, shouldn't make any difference, besides lowering battery consumption.
