    In my 20+ years of repairing effects pedals, I have never seen a bad MN3005. I'm not saying they don't go bad, it's just a rare occasion when they do go bad. If you are still hearing the high pitched whine, clean or replace the pots. Most of the time its the high wear items that go out. Just like your car, the high wear items need replacing like brakes, wipers, etc.... In effects its the capacitors, the pots, the switches, etc....
    That is where I would start. Don't forget about the trimpots as well. I've seen those cause problems too.

          If you are talking about the right angle CTS pots with the 1" pc mount legs... no. I wished I did have a source. I usually surf eBay for them or I buy the correct value and type of pot with short pins and solder wires to the pc board.
