I just want to share my joy with the world: last night I used a recently-bought stepped bit to drill an enclosure, and oh, boy, how my life changed. I won't say the brand I'm using or the store I got it from. I'm just saying: get one of those. It's not only a time saver, but actually makes drilling a more pleasurable experience - I have a scar on my right pulse from the bit-changing days.

    Cheers!

    I just use this...

makes things really easy. To get the hole right, I just bump the spot I'm going to drill with a bump tool but a nail would work too.

Just don't be surprised when it wears out quickly, and how expensive they are to replace. Back in my Limo-building days we called them uni-bits

go slow and keep the heat down, it will help, and NO STEEL!!

      Good Luck
