As said, the heater circuit must not have any (low resistance) path to ground if you use elevation.
You cannot use the 100R balancing resistors connected to ground, because they will short the DC elevation.

I’ve just removed the 100r balancing resistors and now pin 4 is reading 312vdc in reference to ground, which also as stated is way too much. If there’s no load on the DC attached at pin 4 then how is the voltage supposed to drop to a useable level?

I assume original voltages were much lower or there was a pull-down resistor that's missing in the schematic.

Added the 100k and dc elevation is currently at 57vdc.

Will play test again shortly.

And I do not have a scope, though I’ve been meaning to pick one up.

Play test is a success! Full clean sound going through with zero hum. It’s ready to get some oil tomorrow and see what we get.

By and large most of my experience is with new builds of existing, proven schematics. I feel that my skill is pretty good at assembling and finding my errors. Finding other people’s errors is a bit more of a challenge!!

The effect is working pretty well!!

At first I had put too much oil in and the effect was present but not very deep and there was alot of noise/crackle coming with the guitar signal. Removed enough oil so that the unit can lay flat with the lid off and not spill any. Now the noise/crackle only happens when the strings are struck pretty hard and the effect is very lush and present. I’m pretty stoked. This thing sounds great!

If anyone has any experience with these, please let me know if the effect sounds correct, or if it’s supposed to be more extreme. It’s enough for me to be satisfied with it but just wanted to ask.
