  • Fulltone RTO wiring and tone control issue

I got this Robin Trower OD. Previous owner removed the footswitch. I’m a little stumped as there are two leads left - one should be for the LED to the footswitch, the other I have no idea.

the tone control also doesn’t work/has no effect. The volume and drive work. I’m trying to go through the circuit based on these layouts.

Trace the wires and see what they connect to in the circuit. A schematic would be more helpful, if you can find one.

I think it's just a modified/tweaked TS9, so this should be close enough to figure out how it's configured even though some values may be different.

Thanks for that schematic. I found the 220r that should be coming off the tone wiper was 4.7k. It’s weird if Fulltone did that stock. Could be the pedal was modded.

Also found a wiring schem online via pictures of the OCD. It’s working but not sure if it’s working fully so I’ll have to snoop around.

c2 was not included in the build.

I meant C2 on the PCB was not included. Not from the schematic shown.
