Hi I've been trying to find a solution for adding some effects to my vocals in a live situation. I don't mean a bit of reverb or delay but some more extreme and heavy effects. Stompboxes always come with problems when running a mic into them for vocals so I was interested in the Line6 Pod X3:

Since it has XLR ins and outs it seems like a good fit. Anyone try this before? Can you tweak settings on the fly like a regular stompbox with the POD or do you need the floor control pedal that line 6 sells? Does anyone know of any other solutions that might work?
