  • Can't upload photos...file corrupt message received

Yesterday and again today, I've been unable to upload any photos from my laptop as I've been doing successfully now for years. I get a message "the file you're trying to upload is corrupted".

I tried a most recent jpeg image, same result. Changed from Tools and Test Gear Forum to this Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Repair Forum, and get the same results.

I'm running Windows XP on this laptop, nothing has changed all this time...just now, denied uploading photos.

    I'll try attaching a file.....

    Ampeg SVT-CL Power & Heater Xfmrs.pdf

    OK, THAT at least works.

Tried again, still getting the File Corrupted message.

Yup did the same thing on my iPhone just now. Looks like a problem with MEF.

Edit: That did it!! It’s alive!!!

This appears to be a problem introduced by a recent software update involving ImageMagick and/or PHP's Imagick module. For the time being, we'll switch over to GD for image processing until the exact cause of the problem can be found and fixed.

I also had an issue with a jpeg attachment.
Convereting it to a pdf file solved it.
