anybody use the "spice" simulator
anything to say about it (good or bad ?)
i just dL'd ver. 2.10.20
just reading up on it now, haven't tried it yet.
looks like alot of command codes to learn to make it do what i want.
it would probably be easier to just calculate and build the circuit.

I know that a lot of the members here and at other forums have used spice and seem to like it.

My observation is that projects designed entirely in spice usually don't turn out that well. However, I could see using it as a starting point with a lot of old fashioned trial and error to work out the bugs.

The simulator that I do use is the Duncan Tone Stack Calculator:

I recommend that very highly. It is really handy in helping you see how different values in the tone stack can determine the character of the sound.

i looked at duncan's tsc,
but i live in the mac world.
maybe i'll get it and try to run it using "flip for mac"
i've had success running "win" programs.
with flip.
