Presonus firebox vs. Powerbook G4?

Hey all, I was wondering if someone could offer some insight on getting a presonus firebox to work with a powerbook G4? I tried both 6 and 9 pin firewire ports and I cannot get the computer to recognize the device! Tried audio/midi settings, power supply to the firebox, etc. Hopefully it's just something I'm overlooking?

I have a Firebox on pc. Have you loaded the proper drivers? Does the led light up blue or red? Am I correct in thinking a power book is a mac? If it does light up blue, what program are you using? I believe Presonus has a forum that might be of help.
