  • One-knob tone controls

In the course of designing a one-knob tone control I wrote a basic program where I could look at and tweak a bunch of existing designs. I did this about 6 years ago but was thinking about publishing it partly because I thought it was interesting and partly because it was a lot of algebra.

Before I do, I wondered if there was anything important I left out. The ones I have currently are:

    - Low insertion loss lopass types: Gibson BR4, Valco 1200 (from Rider PA manual), Sears 7320 (Rider Vol. XII), Watkins Dominator Custom 15, Gibson GA-20T, Wortman (RDH4 page 662), Ampeg R12A Rocket (like Fender 5F10 Harvard)

    - See-Saw types: Watkins Dominator 20/T (same as Marshall 18W), Kay 610 (kind of a one-knob version of Gibson GA-55), Univox 1221, Supro Thunderbolt (Valco 6420B, similar to Premier 50 and 76), Trace Elliot (Gibson Goldtone GA-15RV)

    - Mid-dip types: Barber (RDH4 page 663), Gibson GA78 Bell Stereo 30, Epiphone EA12RVT Futura, Gibson GA77 RET, Gibson Skylark Tremolo

Here's a pic of the program

    Any suggestions would be welcome.
