    What for..?

By the way, I hear porn recently got knocked down from number 1 on the net. (The area which produces most traffic on the net that is.)
In this forum everyone is entitled to my opinion.

I see that your ISP puts a cap on bandwidth, too. I upgraded from 10Mbps/100GB tp 50Mbps/300GB for an extra $10 a month- bringing it up to $39.99/month. A great deal when you look at the charges for exceeding your cap.

I am lucky to live in one of the few communities serviced by Astound Broadband who put in optical cable about 10-12 years ago giving us an alternate choice for phone, cable and ISP. Before they came here AT&T and Comcast had a monopoly on wired service here, and kept jacking up their prices. Astound has had very reasonable prices, offers great technical support and doesn't try to trick you with bullshit like AT&T's special deals and introductory offers. They even have a local office to handle problems, upgrades or exchanges- its been ages since AT&T had a local office around here... With bandwidth getting cheaper every year they have never had to raise my monthly fees even when they increased the bandwidth from 1.5Mbps to 5.0Mbps and 10Mbps. (There is NO EXCUSE for the predatory pricing of AT&T!)

Incredible! We are out in the boonies so the only option is wireless (cell) service. Speed is not great but better than dial up. $35/mo for 3Gig of data, $45 for 5gig, $60 for 10gig, after that $10 per extra gig!!! And we got in early so that's the old price, I think it starts at around $60 for the 3gig now.
So utube & videos definately out of the question, even blocking all the ads possible pays off.
UBB (usage based billing) is the way of the future. You didn't think the internet would stay free forever did you?
Now that they've got us all hooked... I saw something about a study that showed young people deprived of network connection for 24hrs were starting to have mental problems. Yikes.

You might want to see if Boost Mobile is available in your area- out here you can get unlimited voice, text and data for $55/month. If you stay on the the plan for 6 consecutive months your monthly rate goes down $5. You can do that up to 3 times for a maximum discount of $15.
